Fair Trade News #1
January 2013
(originally posted at http://eepurl.com/tCykr)

Hola Amigos,

Happy 2013! Welcome to my first ever newsletter.

It is my pleasure to announce that my vinegar brand will be called Tucán Gourmet Vinegars. All of our vinegars are made by hand in small batches with the best, freshest ingredients using the fermentation techniques I learned in Costa Rica.

2012 was a very difficult year for me personally but it was also a year of many positive milestones for my small business. In 2012 I refined my vinegar brewing techniques, made my first commercial production of a variety of vinegars including banana, plantain, mini-banana, red onion & garlic, pineapple, cherry and apple, and I began to sell my products at the Phat Beets farmers market and CSA in Emeryville on Saturdays.

I am looking forward to taking my company to the next level in 2013. I have set forth a handful of ambitious objectives for 2013, including moving our operation to a commercial kitchen and to begin selling at other farmers markets in the Bay Area. In the first quarter of 2013 I plan to implement a KickStarter campaign to help me raise the necessary funds to achieve the next steps in my business. Please email me directly at francisco@tucanvinegars.com if you would like to get involved with the campaign!

You can now track all of my day-to-day updates by following me @TucanVinegars on twitter.

I make my vinegars to make more friends….and in 2012 it helped me to make a lot of new friends and build a handful of positive new relationships. Thanks again for all of your support. We look forward to sharing with you an upcoming year of great success and lots of vinegar!

Wishing you a beautiful 2013 with mucho amor y felicidad.
